So it's been 165 days since I left England and I'm currently sat in a friends living room in Wanaka, New Zealand, watching the sunset over Lake Wanaka with a couple of ciders. I've spent the day researching what to do while here, so many walks and things to photograph and I'm sure excited about kayaking/paddleboarding/horse riding that is to come.
So far New Zealand has been beautiful! 3 days in Christchurch, 2 in Dunedin and now here in Wanaka for however long I fancy staying here for it seems. It's so nice to catch up with Becci and her life too, meeting her housemates etc.
It feels weird not being on ship though, talking to Reg and listening to the drill as we talk on the phone or whatever, there's so much I could be there helping with , keeping the gallery beautiful and trying not to go mental as customers don't understand when we ask them to stand on the black/blue/white line (depending on your lack or tape on the day)
But I'm free, and freedom feels good, and i'm excited to see what, where, who, when, how over the next few months things will come about.
Here's to new opportunities and experiences!
